I am Meritxell Claramunt and I am studying the degree of Primary Education, here you would be able to see my experiences in both Practicum IV and Practicum V, which are the last practicums I have to do before coming into the teacher's life. About my educational biography

and my expectations in teaching

In these final practicums what I want is to learn the maximum in order to take the best learning for my future as a teacher. I have really high expectations about these practicums, as I am going to go to a school that works very different from what I am used to. What I know about that school is that they work by spaces, this is totally unknown for me, so I am very excited to discover what does it consist of and how is it applied...

The school context

Centre's characteristics and its neighbourhood

The public school in which I have done my Practicum internships is located in Ripollet, a town that belongs to Vallès Occidental, next to the river Ripoll. The town has 37.000 inhabitants, in 1960 it suffered a strong population growth and for that reason, different districts were formed in order to construct flats that were occupied mainly by people coming from Andalusia and Castile...

My group class

Characteristics and logistics

My group class is from second grade, there are 25 students in total and none of immigrant origin, when I talk about immigrant origin, I referred to children's families that come from another country. Even though, children have different family backgrounds and some of them are from different parts of Catalonia. The language used in classroom is Catalan, but at the moment of relating and interacting to peers they use Spanish, so here it is evidenced that some of them have migrant backgrounds from other parts of Spain and there is some diversity among them. About children with special needs, in the classroom there are some children with some needs, but they have not been diagnosed...

for the Practicum IV

Here you will be able to see the teaching sequence that I prepared for my second grade students. The topic was the vertebrate animals and the final outcome was to create a riddle book about it. This final product has been digitalized and it has been shared with children's families, in order to give children the opportunity of having the game at home. In addition, it has been shared also with other second grade of the school...

for the Practicum V

Here you will be able to see the teaching sequence that I prepared for my second grade students. Because of covid19, children don't have any material to play on the playground, so I decided to create a game book with my students. In that way, they had to create in groups their own games and included them into the game book. Also, this game book has been shared with all the other classes, as they had the same problem...
